Juliet, are you friends with people on the show or just an avid fan (because I know how promoting shows you love goes! I was the honorary cast member to Assassins because I sold so many tickets - I told Joe once about how I passed this couple outside of 54 taking a picture because it was 54 and I told them that it was a theater and talked about the show and they crossed a street and went into the box office! Right now I'm all over Pillowman
But you seem to be up on all the info so I was curious!
I'd love to know if anyone ever finds out in advance when Daniel will be on because I would LOVE to see him again, it's been so long.
Inish: i WISH i could say i was a friend of the cast but i'd like to think i'm one of Daniel's zillion friends. because of my studies, i haven't gone recently to any shows or Boyz events to be as chummy with the cast as some of the people i referred to the show!! lol it's a bit ironic. that would be awesome if they made me an honorary something...lol i am an honorary Altarholic from the ABz forum, our little fan club we made which is linked on the main Altar Boyz site that appears in my signature.
i'm just hypervigilant about this show and i tracked them from the first days of previews when i went to see it on a whim. i love to promote them and "spread the word." :) Daniel will usually try to give advance notice about his performances on his website which is also linked in my signature. He's very gracious about dropping me some Boyz news once in awhile.
you can be sure i'll post on this board anytime i hear he'll be doing a role if other people don't beat me to the punch!

Hehe awesome.
I remember back during NYMF when Caligula beat Altar Boyz (by 3 votes) for the Golden NYMFette or something... of course look where Boyz is now!! I wish I had gotten to see it then but I was bogged with three shows in the festival.
And thanks about the note about Daniel's website!
I'll help spread the love.
Well, Caligula was a LOT better in bare-bones NYMTF style than Altar Boyz is now. I WISH Caligula had a life after NYMTF...
Dear Inishmore: I have no retort, my brain is weak.
lol i've witnessed this trend a lot lately: Altar Boyz threads so often turn to Daniel talk because his performances are so outstanding and memorable. i can't wait for the next one when i'm finally out of exams so i can go at the drop of a hat!
hmmm i also wanted to see Caligula

Unfortunately, from my experience and little knowledge of where Caligula stands right now, is that it's not going really anywhere because our producer wasnt really a producer and didn't exactly know what to do with the show after NYMF.
Munk: Elvira, PLEASE.
Wow inish, sounds like a producer I know.
ELVIRA, I'M SORRY!

TOTALLY agree. I saw one of the last Caligula performances, and LOVED it.
That's because you have gorgeous taste. CALIGULA had much potential...the music was lovely.
Weren't there supposed to be demo CD's at some point, available for order? I'm really bummed out that it's not recorded.
Me too. I really liked it! And Euan's nakedness.
I loved Caligula. I think that should move to Modern Orthodox's theater.
As long as they keep the same cast. Get Euan back here where he belongs.
I could not stand Modern Orthodox. I know that the Altar Boyz are supportive of Jenn so maybe she should be in Caligula.
Julie Halston said she reminds her of a hyper Ann B.Davis (Alice from the Brady bunch) Julie is funny!

ha, of course you did, munk. I was in like the second row, so that was a tiny uncomfortable moment.
Nice avatar, Corine. lol.
Naked men are nice. Unfortunately I missed Caligula, but I did catch All Good Things at the Fringe Festival (NOT one of the better jukebox shows) and I got to watch Ryan Link run around butt naked on stage in the basement of a church, Our Lady of Pompeii I believe. It was a nice view. Good times.
That was off topic, so yes. Those Altar Boyz are fun. I want to see the changes they've made from the NYMF. Nothing too drastic I think. Scott seems like he'd be a great Matthew. /ramble
Kris, Scott's an amazing boy-band Matthew! He really reminds me of Brian from Backstreet. Inish + everybody: Daniel went on as Mark last night but i'm sure it was short notice since he didn't post anything...I guess Tyler is having a hard week?
[Scott] really reminds me of Brian from Backstreet.
Um. Brian is my favorite Backstreet Boy. You definitely picked the most awesome comparison possible. That made my day. It would be freaking amazing if they actually came to the CD signing and had a mini battle of the bands or something.
I heard Tyler was feeling sort of crappy last week. Guess it's carrying over to this one. Poor guy. Hope he's not having vocal problems and it's just a minor cold or something. He's a trouper.
O! I feel like catching Daniel is going to be one of those things that I NEVER time right. Like I'll never hear about it early enough OR I'll already have uncancellable (I know not a word...) plans. Well I'll keep my fingers crossed.
And yeah Scott totally took me back to the charm of the boyband era (I'll admit, I fell into the BSB phase too... their new single is quite good though )
Oh Kris, we (read: me. heh) know alllll about your BSB/Brian love. No need to bring it allll over an Altar Boyz thread. :-P
Anyhoo, yeah, topic. I'm taking you to see ABz when you come home, Kris. You will love it. I promise. The only thing I really and truly miss from the NYMF version is Andy's rap verse from "The Miracle Song." That was good stuff, but oh well.
I've seen ths ehow now too many times to count. I love the cast (and that includes Daniel who was a great Juan last week and Kevin) and have been listening to the ocr incessantly since getting it this week. AB rules, yo.
