I was in Connecticut with my family this weekend, and we caught the touring company of Altar Boyz in New Haven. Happy to report that the show is in great shape. Performances were good...didn't think Abraham was the greatest singer, but he got all the laughs from his lines. Juan was the standout.

The sound in the theater wasn't great, however the audience LOVED the show. Lots of buzz on the way out of the theater, folks raving about how much they enjoyed it.

That's great to hear. I didn't realize the tour was in CT right now. How long is it running there for?

Thanks for the mini-review. I live about 5 minutes from the Long Wharf Theatre and have been trying to get some people to go with me.

Saw the show tonight and am happy to report that it is doing very well. All of the performers have great energy, and I agree with brian that Juan was the standout.

It was interesting to see how a MUCH older audience reacted (the senior citizen discount was the pre-show buzz for those sitting around me), and they were very receptive.

Definitely get over to the Long Wharf Theatre if you are in the area.
