Posted: 6/22/06 at 3:12pmI have seen Phantom both live and on film. Each time I preferred the version I conjured up in my head as I listened to the London Cast CD while painting a house in 1988.

God I thought this thread was over.
"Words and Music. I love them. And especially what happens when you put them together into songs. And sing them, in a large building, in a central part of town, as part of a play, with a lot of people listening, who have all paid a great deal to get in." - Edward Kleban, composer/lyricist of A Class Act and lyricist of A Chorus Line

I think that overall even though I was bored during some scenes it was still good and worth a second look. And I definitely want to see Howard McGillin again. He is so nice and so talented!

I really have to admit I love Phantom. My dad after seeing it said this: "Why did I just pay for a three hour nap?"
My point? To each his own. If you love it great. If you don't, that's fine too. Plays and musicals are considered an art. And like all art forms, there are going to be people that love it, and others that are going to criticize it.

I have never known Miss Dirty Rotten Scoundrel to "flip out."
P.s. Why do you paste your signature at the bottom of every post?

He did that before he figured out how to create a real signature.
I'm still wondering why he uses accents rather than the correct punctuation.

So, this is the message that I sent him that makes him hate me:
6-4-06:
Just FYI, name dropping is frowned upon. Second of all, no offense, but exchanging severals messages every once and a while does NOT make you friends with a person...
I don't understand how that's mean! Or me flipping out, I didn't even mention a specific actor lol.
