Why is it that almost every person to hit BWW that has poor grammar/spelling claims to be dyslexic?

The first time someone posted it I felt sorry for her due to people bashing her. But now, it's just...expected.

Am I the only one who thinks that if you don't want people to respond in a negative way to one of your posts, that you either: don't start a thread in the first place, or better yet, start your own board where you can edit the posts as you see fit.

first of all - i'm NOT a fan of phantom, i've never understood its enduring appeal, the pseudo-operatic material is just dull and badly written - it doesn't sit in people's voices correctly, meaning they have to have half the show on a click track.

now, onto why i'm really posting. i don't think its an unreasonable request to ask the posters not to jump on a bashing bandwagon, just to take the post as an interested question and not to get on to name calling and hysterics.
the problem is there is always someone (or actually in this case several ppl) who seem to love being horrible to people, whether it be about their opinions, their typing, their personal issues or whatever.

ok, westendartist - you could try and avoid the text talk - ie talking like you were writing a text message. just slow down a bit when you write and try to divide up your thoughts a bit. i don't care about typos - god, i do enough of them, and i'm sure if i have one in here the vultures will devour it.
but what is up with jumping on someone and continually pointing out their deficiencies? god, what a shock, someone left an "n" out of think - grow up.

and a public posting board means freedom of speech - something you americans seem obsessed about - so if someone wants to start a post they can. like he said - you could have just ignored it.

i'm not an angry person, you've no idea how out of character this is. this is just one more thread that's descended into something that's tantamount to bullying.

I have loved PHANTOM for 19 of my 31 years, since I got the London cast recording before it even opened on Broadway. I have collected books, recordings, music boxes, DVDs, seen the show many times.

I am not posting here because I myself have been a lifelong Phan, rather I am standing up for the millions and millions of people worldwide who feel just like I do.

Everyone has their own opinion, I respect and encourage that... But... A thread like this insults our intelligence and needlessly uses up bandwith. If you don't like something, keep it to yourself. The world is far to cruel and negative as it is. Simple, mean-spirited threads like this started causes anger and hurt feelings and are pointless.

There is a reason it is the longest running show in Broadway history. BECAUSE IT'S GOOD AND PEOPLE LOVE IT.

This thread needs to be deleted... as should the one someone started about WICKED.

I wanted to know who else didn`t like it! I`m not insulting anyone! There`s no reason this thread should offend you!

My favorite show is The Producers and when someone says they don`t like it I`m like ".....so?" It dosen`t offend me in anyway! If they don`t like it they don`t like it! I`m allowed not to like Phantom! Everyone has a say to what shows are good and bad!

EponineAmneris- I`m glad you like the show! But if so why not ignore this thread? I posted this to see who didn`t like it! NOT who did!

Starting threads like this make you seem childish and mean spirited.

I'm an American. I am all for free speech and having one's own opinion. That is not my point. My point is that people need to be smart and not expect people to not respond to something they feel passionately about... even if they are asked not to.

I love THE PRODCUCERS, too. God forbid someone started a thread bashing it. Can you honestly say you woundn't respond? I think not.

Im not that big of a webber fan, BUt I absolutely love phantom its sad and romantic and on this website I dont understand its hatred that is allover the place.
