an actress who can't act at all gets a starring role in a movie opposite Jack Nicholson, Diane Keaton, Frances Mc Dormand and Keanu Reaves. Yeah, right. She is an amazing actress.

I didn't say she couldn't act at all. I think she's a GREAT film actress - she was wonderful in SOMETHING'S GOTTA GIVE, SYRIANA, and IGBY GOES DOWN - but she should stick to film.

I think it is always a delight to have big Hollywood actresses on Broadway. It is just good for the theatre. Most likely a lot of people would go to see a Broadway show just because they know Amanda. Amanda wants to better herself as an actress and work 10 times harder than the way she would work in LA. I applaud her.

Amanda Peet isn't really a huge star...none of my non-theatre friends knew who she was until I said "Opposite Ashton Kutcher in A LOT LIKE LOVE."

I think she's a MINOR Hollywood star.

Are you sure she's on TOMORROW (Fri 2/24). It's not listed on their site.

If she is on, I hope she mentions her co-starts in Barefoot--most notably Mister Wilson. Perhaps a clip or two of the play.

Don't forget Identity, although I know you didn't like that. I think it's her best work.

I don't know why you haven't heard of her, Dollypop. I wouldn't call her a minor Hollywood star, though.

Big roles in the popular "The Whole Nine Yards" (nomination for Blockbuster Entertainment Award) and its sequel, "The Whole Ten Yards." Also big roles in "Igby Goes Down," "Something's Gotta Give," "Melinda and Melinda," and "A Lot Like Love" (Teen Choice Award nomination). Those are just the few that I've seen.

She's the reason I went to see "Barefoot" in the first place (I hadn't seen Patrick in anything before). Her fame is also the reason she got the part (as people have noted, she was not really that fantastic).
