So i recently went to Amazon and tried to find the new Hair recording which they do not carry. And looking farther they have stopped carrying The light in the Piazza and spelling bee. Does anyone know what is going on with Amazon? Are they discontinuing carrying sh-k-boom recordings? If so that would suck big time!

Yes I know that they WERE selling Piazza and Bee right after the tonys, but my comment was that they have STOPPEd selling both, which makes me wonder if they are going to discontinue selling sh-k-boom recordings, or if it is just those recordings...?

Huh. That's funny. Definitely no Piazza or Spelling Bee to be found. I was counting on them being there once I got enough money to buy, so I hope they restock.

that's really odd. even if they were just out of copies due to high demand you'd think they'd still list them.

If they are out of cds they normally do keep them listed, this looks like they are not carrying them anymore.

I already have Piazza and Bee thank god, but I am pissed that they no longer carry the 42nd Street New Broadway Cast Recording which I cannot find a copy of anywhere!

If you go to Amazon.com you can write an email for recommendations. Maybe if they recieve enough recommending they continue selling cast recordings they will continue to stock them. Just a thought.

That is odd, especially since both are listed as a top seller. They just show the album cover without any link. I ordered both Bee and Piazza from Amazon yesterday though and both are shown as being prepared for shipment. Hopefully, I got that in in time and there won't be any delay.

Spelling Bee is on Ghostlight Records, & Piazza is released on the Nonesuch label

Sorry I forgot that Piazza is nonesuch. Ghostlight is a division of sh-k-boom, hence why I thought they were not carrying sh-k-boom recordings. But it looks like they are discontinuing carrying cast recordings. Weird.

oh no! how crazy is this?! I was seriously looking at the page for Bee and Maybe even piazza just yesterday. I'm with Plum -- I was saving my pennies. This is not good. Amazon was the only reliable place to get cast recordings (for those of us not in NYC). I hope this is a temporary thing.....

there's a bunch of cast recordings still listed. and they still list both adam pascal CDs which are Sh-K-Boom as well as Little Women and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels which are Ghostlight so none of this makes any sense at all...

The L5Y CD is now out of print. I went to Barnes & Noble to purchase it after I saw the show the other day - and the manager of the store said that B&N stores will no longer carry it. Whatever is out there is out, there will be no more.

sh-k-boom still sells them. i ordered mine like a month ago. they have l5y, bee and all their other titles im pretty sure

Well I just ordered Piazza on Friday and they said they shipped it already. Weird.
