if this is already being discussed here please pardon this post...i will be in LONDON sept 22, of this year and i cannot find anywhere where Amber Riley is still listed playing EFFIE in the west end production of DREAMGIRLS...does anyone here know?...i already have my ticket but if she is not in it i will stand in line for FOLLIES instead...thank you!

The official Dreamgirls website still shows Amber in the cast.

HOWEVER, the Ticketing Information page contains the following notice:
"The producers cannot guarantee the appearance of any particular artist(s). Amber Riley is currently scheduled to play the role of Effie White for 6 out of 8 performances per week. On 2 out of 8 performances per week, currently scheduled on Monday evenings and Wednesday matinees, the role of Effie White will be played by either Marisha Wallace or Karen Mav. This is subject to change and may be affected by contracts, holiday, illness, or events beyond the producers’ control."

I believe she will be there till october.
Marisha was as good as Amber, so maybe you can change your mind about because the production itself it stunning
