It sounds like the Spring Awakening album. Manipulated so much that is barely resembles what you hear in the theatre.

IMO they should of went the Passing Strange route and recorded the cast recording during the actual show. It would of sounded so much more authentic. C'est La Vie.

If this album omits Alyssa Umphress' ending to "Too Much Too Soon" or Rebecca Naomi Jones' scream during "Letterbomb", I'm going to lose it.

The Passing Strange cast recording wasn't actually recorded during the show. It was recorded onstage at the Belasco in front of an audience but not during an actual performance.

My apologies on the mix up. I still think the end results would of been better based off the samples.

Ugh- ditto to the comments on terrible quality. Didn't we all learn that "Passing Strange" doing the rock-musical recording live was the best way to get the sound across? This is terrible. A total amateur could have mixed this better.

Don't you think you guys should hold off on judging the album from a bunch of 10 second low quality clips on Amazon.com?

The whole CD can be listened to on MTV's feature called "The Leak: Album Preview". Fortunately, it comes off great on this site. I was concerned about it after hearing the samples on Amazon. This sounds way better.

I was able to listen to the album on the MTV site, and i think it sucks. I love the show, so I guess i'll stick to seeing it to hear the music, and of course there's always shoes.
