BOMBAY DREAMS THE MOVIE?
Farah Khan rumoured as director!
The success of A. R. Rahman’s first musical Bombay Dreams continues today. The stage show is currently showing in Broadway and rumours suggest a big screen version is being discussed. A number of names have been suggested as director the film version, although Farah Khan, who recently directed Main Hoon Na, is apparently the favourite. Meanwhile the stage show has attracted a famous name for its cast. Former American Idol finalist Tamyra Gray has bagged the female lead and will play Priya for twelve weeks, starting in November.
I work for BOMBAY DREAMS, so I've heard all the rumours. Yes, Andrew Lloyed Webber wants to make a movie, but it's not even a thought right now. Anisha's last performance was this afternoon, and it was actually kind of sad. I thought when Ayesha Dharker left there would be a big gap - wrong - her understudy is FANTASTIC as Rani, even better than Ayesha. I'm not just saying this because I work there, but if you saw BOMBAY back when it first opened, the show has grown SO much since then. Obviously the writing hasn't improved, but the cast has gotten so much more comfortable and continues to dig deeper into their characters - Manu is getting better and better (and hotter) ever time I see him. I can't wait to see Tamyra on Tuesday - she's been watching the show on and off last week and she's very, very excited to make her debut. Tuesday night I'll start a new post about how she does.

im not laughing at that, im laughing at how theres a chance a BD movie would be made.
Oh, the many meanings to that post...
Good one, munkustrap!
You don't even know what a fluffer is.
yay, AG! You're back! <333
I SAID, YANKEE, YOU DONT EVEN KNOW WHAT A FLUFFER IS. We need to clarify this, I don't want you thinking I do something for a show I don't. Although I'm not going to tell you waht I actually do.

tamyra gray was on for a couple of minutes on cnn headline news to talk about "bombay dreams"looking real nice as always. tamyra said she was rehearsing for 3 weeks .she said it was alot diffrent than american idol saying she had to learn the script. also she said she had to learn the indian dialect which she has to use when speaking as well as singing. asked about getting the role tamyra said she was aproached by the producers . she auditioned in september singing a couple songs from the show. also tamyra said that she was pretty blessed and that god was looking out for her and that everything she has wanted to do she has had a chance to do .
i might have misquoted tamyra's excact words since she was speaking faster than i could write what she said.
Can someone tell me how Bombay Dreams is as a show??? Someone was telling me about it over the summer and at the time it reallyd didn't see to be too appealing to me. But now that Tamyra is in it, my interest to see it has grown a little.
Her commercial annoys me so much, it makes me lose all interest in seeing it. Perhaps if the commercial was more than a "my dreams are coming true" thing and focused more on her talent, I'd be interested.
