For what it's worth, I also saw last Sat's matinee and he had the ankle wrapped up and a slight limp occasionally. Was more noticeable in Act 2 than 1.

Damn I wish I was there just to watch it all go down! Sounds like it was great live theatre to me! The first time I saw this show there was a funny mishap (or at least to me it was funny). At the end of act one, the axe scene, the blood started squirting on the screen in front of the stage before the axe was even raised. I could tell Benjamin and Drew were laughing under their breath.....I'm sure they were thinking "what the f**k just happened". It was funny. As it has been posted on here, and as Ben said, "It's live theatre, folks!". I'm going to miss this show!

But the track totally reminds me why I'm so confused so many of you desperately love the show or why you would want to listen to this as a cast album. But you know. To each your own!'
becsuse it has one of the best scores I a long time, offers something unique and is fascinating. Not every musical score needs to have violins and a brass section.

Won't go into it too much because that's not what this thread is for. I hear what you're saying but it's hard for me to find what you find is good in the score - the singing is toneless, the melodies are tuneless, the music is dissonant - and I know that Benjamin Walker has a nice voice and the rest of the cast has vocal chops, but it doesn't come across here for me at all (it's so painful to my ears).
Like I said, I don't understand you guys. It's not an argument but a comment. I hear what you hear, and I don't enjoy artistically or otherwise, but you do. It's as simple as that.
The staging on the other hand, that I get. It's some of the best staging I've seen.

Shaking my head in disbelief. I think I posted in this thread about everyone's post being just an opinion, and now it's been deleted. I must be wrong, it's too ridiculous even for this place. Maybe I have the wrong thread. I hope.

Jane you are completely correct. It was this thread. Liza made a comment about SongandDanceman2's opinion on the score. You responded to Liza's comment about opinions. There was absolutely nothing wrong or snarky about your post.

Thanks ArtMan although I'm sorry I was right. This must mean that the Liza person is sensitive beyond measure. And the Mods are ridiculous . Don't know how long I want to be subjected to this.

But would your comment have made sense once Liza's comment was deleted? Or did yours quote hers? (I remember Liza's comment and yours but not the exact wording of either.) Another board I post on deletes comments that break the guidelines and comments that respond to the comments that break the guidelines under the theory that the flow of conversation doesn't make sense when just the reply is left. Makes sense to me if your comment was harmless but would have seemed like a non sequitur once Liza's comment was gone.

No, this whole thing was ridiculous as far as I saw it. Liza criticized another poster for stating his opinion as it were a fact. I then posted that everything we post here is an opinion, and we don't have to mention it each time we post. Then -
KERPLOOIE! GONE. DELETED. I think that's the last straw for me. There are hardly any people here I care about anymore, anyway.

Relax, Jane. I've been on here for 3+ years and you know I'm not THAT sensitive. I've endured much worse. I did not complain or report your post. How preposterous! The moderators deleted my comment, so you can safely assume they deleted yours because it made zero sense without my post being there....

and what about your comment merited it to be deleted?

I actually heard back from Rob after I complained to him and I was glad of that! Anyway, it was all about them deleting a post by Liza, and then mine since it wouldn't have made sense. I don't know exactly why Liza's was deleted though.
