ShuQ... Amy's got the stamina. She used to do about 45 shows a month. Those shows consisted of a regular scripted piece and a 45 minute singing vaudeville... and during Christmas, add an operetta on top of that. Up to three different shows, 45 times a month. Yeah... I think she can do it!
Whoah Di2. I'm sorry you feel somewhat cheated. But some of the people you named are 'theater' performers - not just stunt casted names thrown in there without merit. Jodi Benson? Amazing performer. Her Broadway career dates back to around the mid 80's -- so why would it irritate you that they cast someone like her? I'm *so* very thankful she was in the tour when it came through Dallas. I would rank her performance as one of my favorites from any production of any show. I think she's been my favorite narrator to date - and some of the other names you listed have more than proven themselves on a Broadway stage and elsewhere.
Now the Osmond crew? Perhaps I'll give you that one. I'll admit that I was rather impressed with (what was his name, David?) but he looked like a 15 year old Joseph. That I didn't care for.....
I guess it's hard to get upset when people they are casting are very, very good theater performers. They aren't people that I raise and eyebrow to and *know* they are only thrown in there for name status.
I found her personality so irritating. She's a good singer, but I don't know, something about her, I just didn't like. She'd be a fine narrator though.
