I saw Amy Spanger in KMK, and I must say this. She's an amazing performer -- true triple threat. However, I didn't detect any "warmth" from her.

I have to echo that same sentiment Rl. I think she was robbed of a Tony nod for KMK but "warm and fuzzy" are not at all how she comes off. She seems a bit shrill and nervous to me whenever I've seen her offstage.

Totally agree with you rI...

Technically, I think Amy is extremely capable in all of the triple-threat departments. Mnay times though, she comes off as very cold onstage (and bored sometimes as well.)

Saw her and Marin Mazzie's understudy in KMK. I believe Marin's was Linda Muggelston. She was WONDERFUL. She belted (yes, belted I say!) all of SO IN LOVE and she completely went up on her lines in I HATE MEN. She just stood there, poised, waiting for someone to give her a cue. Finally they did. It was rather remarkable.

Spanger's understudy was three days older than water.
