I too heard Michael and her had separated. Anyone have any details? Yes, I know it is none of our business, but I love and respect both of their work very much. I'm curious just like everyone else.

While she sang four songs, she didn't have one shining moment that was completey owned by her and her alone. The only number that came close to being a solo for her (a mediocre on at that) was upstaged by Matthew Salvidar's appareance toward the end.
Look at the competition: Leavel had "As We Stumble Along," Withers-Mendes had "Push Da Button," Fields had "Hell No!"... are you really going to put "Right In Front Of Your Eyes" anywhere near the same level as those songs? And that's just on what she had to work with. I'm not even going into detail on how those performances outdid her.
My comment that she "had nothing to do" was more about her overall story arc and stage time. When she wasn't singing in the above four numbers, she wasn't doing much of anything. I can remember (off the top of my head) three appearances she made on stage with just dialogue.
As I said before, Spanger was great in the show, but nothing beyond that.
The part alone doesn't even lend itself to any award recognition. You just can't place the role of Holly anywhere near the prestigious pedestal characters like The Drowsy Chaperone, Shug, and Sofia reside on, so the fact that you were convinced she had the Tony in the bag for her work in the show was just plain near-sighted.

It was announced that they got divorced. The only way I found out about it was from that blog on broadway.com. It talked about how a Roxie/ Billy flynn couple got a divorce. And I was reading onhere that people talked about how she and michael were one of the only couples to play roxie/ billy.
I am not going to say much because I know people from the broadway world read and post here and I wouldn't want to offend anyone who could be reading this and knows her.

Regardless.. you're ignoring my point. Even if she got BOTH of those numbers to herself, the material in ANY season (but particularly in the one in which she would have been nominated) doesn't lend for a Tony, and neither did her performance.

and as far as the whole tony thing goes- she def DID lead SNITC for almost the entire song- there were other people in it obviously, but it was pretty largely her song. And also, I think she DID deserve a nomination, becuase she was most definitely one of the best things about the show (along with stephen and felicia... and I'd say laura too but the role just didn't lend itself to being.. scene steeling like the others did). I think what makes people overlook it a little is that its complete comedy, and that kind of comedy can seem a little.. not legit to some people. But, if you really think about it, to be THAT funny seems pretty darn hard! so yeah... I would have loved to have seen her get a nomination :) win? prob not-not for that role. But nomination.

No thanks.

I also think your reasoning that she deserved a nomination because "she was deffinetly one of the best things about the show" is a little bit off too.
The Tony nominees are considered to be the best in their category out of every show that season. Just because someone like Spanger was the best part of their show doesn't mean that they were the best in their category up against other actors from other shows.

I think I have all the cast recording that she is on but can someone list them just so that I can see if I'm missing anything?
Also Reefer Madness is one of my favorite movie musicals ever, because the cast is f-ing amazing! I mean we have Amy, Kristen (I'm a HUGE veronica mars fan), Ana, Cummings, and so many other great preformers. more movie musicals shold be like that.
