I do agree that religion is a choice, and like any other choice it can be and in many cases should be subjected to criticism. I'm very open to debating on this topic, in fact, it is one of the most common conversation topics among my friends and me.
Again, I haven't read any of the threads regarding the matter.
"ETA, all that jazz, I want to be clear that I don't condemn Catholics as a whole and I certainly don't exclude them from my circle of friends."
^That was always clear.
Wildcard--I mentioned on another thread that I saw an all Thai version of Miss Saigon in Bangkok. While it worked in most areas,I felt that Kim really needed to fall for a white American to realise the dramatics of the situation. It seemed a little strange when he brought his Thai bride[presume supposedly Vietnamese] to meet Kim.

It's a benefit for the National Asian Artists Project, for Pete's sake. Of course they're going to cast it with Asians. Duh. And since race isn't a plot point, why not? Christine is a great choice - don't see enough of her. I think Lea is too young and wrong, but she'd make a sweet Mrs. Malloy. And LeRoy mounts a great Dolly! Sounds like fun to me.
