A sit-down is a non-touring production. It's usually applied to a show that plans a one year-or-more run in one particular city. In "Wicked"'s case, that city is Chicago.

Yes, Ana can sing. I've seen her perfrom at a few events. A "sit down" is a production that remains in one place. After the tour leaves Chicago, the new Wicked production will open with a new cast to remain in Chicago.

I actually heard somewhere- not here... That Ana is actually classically trained in voice. You can kinda tell when she spoofs Celine. I bet she will be great... The producers would probably not cast someone who could not fill the shoes of such a demanding role so early in it's tour...

You can also catch her singing in the soon to be released REEFER MADNESS on Showtime.

I really don't think that they (the casting agents) care about age with respect to the story of Wicked. If they did, they probably would have cast someone as Fiyero who didn't look old enough to play one of the professors. But they did, and Norbert did an amazing job even though I thought he looked out of place compared to the rest of the cast. I'm sure that Ana Gasteyer will also do an amazing job, as she did in Funny Girl with Pittsburgh CLO.

yes, wicked.. you are such CLOSE friends with them that you can't spell one of their names correctly on a message board and have to 'casually' mention to everyone that you know them.

Baaaaaazing.
As to Ana playing Elphaba, I personally would be interested in seeing how she is.

I was thinking the same thing, broadwayguy2.
Yes, I'm sure they are *so* close. I consider a close friend to be someone that I would call if, say, my mom died. Not a C-list Broadway actor.

Wicked4life51 thinks that meeting an actor backstage and/or at the stage door automatically makes him *BeSt FrIeNdZ* with them. This kid is just too much.
