Anastasia Contracts?

Hey, everyone! I'll be seeing Anastasia this coming fall (in October-ish), and I was wondering if anyone had any speculation/knowledge of Christy and Derek's contracts? I'm under the assumption they'll still be in the show, but I think the people on these boards have a better idea than I do.

I just asked Christy if anyone is leaving in January b/c usually after the end of ticket blocks in January, people leave.

And? That's also not generally true. They probably signed year contracts, so yes, unless they're on vacation or sick, they should be there.

I am fairly certain that Ramin is leaving by January because he is already booking concert appearances in the UK then.

Short of being physically exhausted from the role by January or picking up another very lucrative offer, I can't imagine Altomare wouldn't extend, even if just for a few extra months. She seems to be having the time of her life and the show certainly has the makings of a somewhat lengthy run.

I've been thinking along those lines as well. Altomare seems like she'd be one to stay in the role for a substantial run (a la Adam Jacobs in Aladdin). Especially since the role doesn't seem too taxing (from what I know, anyways). Though I'd imagine Karimloo and Bolton would be ones to maybe leave once their contracts are up.

I'd also put Mary Beth Peil into that group as well - i could see Caroline O'Connor extending, though.

Sorry; I didn't want to start a new thread for this question, but do any of you guys know when Christy and Derek's vacations are/were?  I know John Bolton's was not too long ago.  Hoping to catch them in the middle of September!

"I think it's pretty rare for vacation announcements when there's no "star" in the show, so I don't think anyone knows for sure. You could try tweeting Christy, though! She's usually pretty good at responding, and she's told some people whether she'd be at the show that night.

Previews started on March 23, 2017, so anyone with a year-long contract should still be in the show on March 17.
