Anyone else going?
I'll be honest and say that I misread the thread, and thought we were talking about the Chicago/Disney production of "The Jungle Book" where De Shields played "King Louis"...oops!

Is this an in-person production?
Everything we’ve read says it will be live. Andre was on Wait Wait last weekend talking about this.

St Louis Shakespeare Festival performs outdoors in Forrest Park (same park as the Muny but a different location). In normal times, the site can accommodate thousands, this year seating will be limited to allow for social distancing. The Festival website says to check on May 3 for information about reservations.
Seating is available for “members”, which costs $40. We have a blanket pod reserved.
De Shields was great. Rest of cast ranged from competent to very good. Was hard to hear all the lines, and the play is complicated to begin with. Andre does interact with audience members up close (groups in both sides of us, but not i0us) which freaked out one guy who was “resting his eyes”. Facility is great, but bring bug spray!
we’ve got some limited edition “money” with add Shields’ face on it that was thrown into the crowd.
I’m seeing this in a couple weeks! Cannot wait.
