Unfortunately while some of Us rally around Her others seem to want to tear Her Down.
One site had a review describing Her as bieng "washed up" and "burnt out".
This is a feeling Human bieng He is talking about but for some reason most people tend to take the low ground.
In truth I am glad this topic thread was started because it seemed that I was the only one who liked Her any longer.
Thank You to You all.

I had A hard Time reading Your post.

If You DID have a hard time reading it I apologise, I tried to keep it simple and brief.
But some People are bieng un-nessasarily horrible in Thier criticism.
I simply pointed that out.
She seems utterly charming, but she was dead wood in State Fair, the only time I've seen her onstage. That's not an indictment as, just a fact about one performance.
She has such a great voice that has gotten better with age.
...and her brother is, indeed, adorable.
I don't usually chime in with these "likes/dislikes" topics because I respect others opinions to their choices.
But...I have to say that imho, Andrea is just an amazingly talented woman who pours her heart and soul into her roles. I saw her Belle, her Epponine and recently covered her at the Prince, where Andrea clearly "made" that show.
I was never treated so warmly by a performer and her entire beautiful family! These are real Philly family people,folks... Not to mention hangin' with the bestest of the best, Mr. Eddie Varley, who took good care of me getting all the photos I wanted.
Andrea is a class act performer and always will be. Her talent as an energetic actress who has a full grip on the roles she plays and that voice that just never aged, well, she can perform for me any time! She's the kind of actress that draws you to a show: not for the show but for the talent, im my book. She's not anywhere near cashing in her career as a performer.

That was wonderfully well put,no one could have summed it up better.
I had the great pleaseure of working with her in the early '90s, and she was a joy to be around. She was (and is) absolutely beautiful, had a phenomenal body, sang the hell out of everything she did in the show, and was incredibly kind to the cast both on and off stage. I admire her a lot and hope that whatever she has going on in the near future, that it will be very successful for her.
She's playing Evita again:

It's in FL, only a couple hours from my parent's, wish I could see it but alas I have work
She is a bit long in the tooth for the role but it should be pretty neat to see her tackle EVITA.

At least she actually still looks like she's in her 20s.
It would be more awkward if she didn't.

As I understand it after several engagements in Evita She has a concert in the Dallas Fort-Worth area with several other performers.
This seems to be the start of a busy Year for Her.

Ghostlight, must you capitalize your pronouns when you are talking about Ms. McArdle? In type, it really looks like she is a deity to you.
I hope Andrea's current production and her DFW concert go great. I'm sure she sings the heck out of Eva!
This looks like a twenty-something to you?
She's in her mid-40's, dude.

Well dancinfan,it is somthing of a bad habit capitolising pronouns, i have tried to stop, when it happens it is not just in the context of her that i find it happens it is simply in that context that you noticed it.
Do I annoy YOU THAT MUCH? O.K., i never want to be a neuisance to others, if the way i write is SO objectionable i will stop posting.

I believe this is the concert Ghoslight is refering to.
Hugh Panaro is going to be there as well.

I know this is an old thread but I was at the concert referenced above last night. Its no where near the DFW area, but I guess that is beside the point. I thought Andrea McArdle did a really good job and her voice sounded great. It was a really great show all around actually.
