Angela Lansbury Returns to the Stage!

The news has me giddy beyond belief. Reports say she will do a short engagement of "Oscar and the Pink Lady" in Los Angeles to see how it works out for her.
Here's hoping it works out well enough to bring her to New York City!

Damn.

I was hoping she would do 70 Girls, 70 at Encores at the end of March. The lead is perfect for Angie.

Michael Bennett (great name, by the way!), I am praying and crossing my fingers and lighting candles and praying to Hare Krishna that she will come to NYC with this, or at least near enough.

She is one of the true greats of the musical stage. Count yourselves lucky if you catch her.

This is great news! She's such a great lady of the stage, it's nice to see her performing again. This year, it seems to be LA where much of the great theatre is beginning.

The play sounds really cheesy but I'll pay good money to see Angela read the phone book!

Does anyone have any updates as to where to get tickets?!/

Selling 2 tickets for Angela

I have 2 front row ticket seats for sale for the Sunday 2:30 pm engagement. I have bought them and then realized that I can't go on Saturday and bought tickets for Saturday instead. Tickets are not sold out yet so I will sell them for $80.00 a ticket (they sell for $107 each on ticketmaster).

Despite what was written in Playbill initially, this is not a staged reading. Angela Lansbury will be reading the novella "Oscar and the Pink Lady) in full. The ticket DOES include a champagne reception with Ms. Lansbury!

Please e-mail me directly at cocopazzo@hotmail.com if you're interested in the tickets.

Finally got to meet Angela...

Finally got to meet Angela...

Ms. Lansbury was very gracious but reserved as always. We also saw David Mamet in the lobby (he's directing Boston Marriage in the bigger auditorium)
