I love how she doesn't mask her feelings. She outright says she was upset she hadn't won an Oscar, that she thought she would have won for MANCHURIAN CANDIDATE, that she was upset Lucy got to play Mame in the movie, that she never won an Emmy, etc. etc.
Here is a woman who has CONQUERED all: Television, Film, and Broadway.
She has four Tonys. She was nominated TWELVE TIMES for an Emmy JUST for her role on MURDER, SHE WROTE and NEVER won, not to mention the other Emmys she lost.
Despite all the awards wishwash, I have so much respect for her. She "understands" why she lost and isn't outwardly bitter.
I'd really love to see her in a meaty film role and get that Oscar.

If they make a movie, Meryll will probably get the part.

I'd like to see her make some sort of cameo in the new Sweeney movie.

They should let the guest at a word in but all those woman talking at once - they all have to get their two cents in. Angela is a wonderfully talented actress. She should have got the oscar for Manchurian Canidate. But, who said life is fair. Nick Nolte should have won for Afflicted. I am seeing AL in April in Duece. Can't wait

Posted: 2/26/07 at 5:06pmMy favorite Angela Lansbury memory: I bought one of those maps to the stars homes when I was in LA and started driving around. I ended up seeing Angie washing her car in her pajamas. No joke... this woman's got class. (and a clean car!)
