Where have y'all been getting dinner between Parts 1 and 2 on 2 show days? I'm coming into the city in a few weeks for the sole purpose of seeing the show, and I'm looking for a good place to eat in between each part. Somewhere nearby where we won't feel rushed but can have a nice sit-down meal in the time allotted. Any recommendations?
I'm surprised the show doesn't have any deals with restaurants expressly for this purpose. Or do they, and I'm just not aware?
My sister and I are seeing both parts on April 25 and eating at Russian Samovar at 256 W 52nd We’ve never eaten there but it’s rught next door and they have a theater price fixe and a discount with your tickets. I had planned on Bsr Americain the Flay Restaurant but it appears it closed
My favorite restaurants in area.
B Squared
Hell’s Kitchen
Guantanamera.
Juniors.
Victors Cafe.
The cosmic diner right across the street is good for what it is
Gallagher's Steakhouse is next door to the Neil Simon, if you're in the mood for a [pricey] chop.

I personally did Bond 45 between parts on Opening Night. I appreciated the quick walk over and back as my legs wanted some waking up between parts.
You have 2.5 hours between parts, and will be having dinner before the rush really kicks in most places, shouldn't really be any different from seeing any two show day, aside from it being a slightly earlier window of time between shows.

My mom and I did a 2-show day and went to Socarrat for paella and sangria between them. We had plenty of time!
I very much enjoy the West End Cafe on the corner of 49th & 8th (about 3 blocks away). They have a brunch burger that is divine!

I was wondering about this too, so thanks for the thread. I will be doing a marathon day on a Saturday next month.
Playbill lists the run time for Part 1 as 3 h 30 min; is that current / up-to-date information now that the previews are over? Just thinking about the reservation time, and what time I can expect to be out of the theater walking towards a restaurant. I was sort of thinking of Joe Allen (never been, finally wanted to go), but it's 6 blocks down, so I'm not sure if I should pick something closer by. I'd enjoy the walk but don't want to be keeping an eye on the time the whole time I eat.

I went to Bareburger on 57th between 8th and 9th. It's a chain but I always think their food is good, not too expensive, and if it's a Wednesday marathon you'll be there during happy hour which was an unexpected bonus. I sat at the bar and read a book while leisurely eating and had plenty of time.
Incidentally, when I saw it the week after the snow storm a couple of weeks ago Part I started about 10-15 minutes late because of the box office having issues, so the show got out around 4:50. I definitely overheard some folks worrying about making it to 5 PM reservations. I'm not sure if this is a regular occurrence, starting late, but just a heads up on that possibility.
For some reason I keep thinking Angels in America is at the Walter Kerr, so I was going to suggest P.S. Kitchen, which is right across the street from the Kerr. HOWEVER, I would still suggest it to anyone who is looking for a great vegan/vegetarian restaurant in the Theater District. I am neither a vegan nor a vegetarian, but went to a work event there and the food is delicious.
We saw the show this past Saturday and we ate dinner at Gallagher’s. It is right next door to the Neil Simon. It is an expensive steakhouse. The service is always fantastic. Each table has two servers not one. And there are as many ancillary staff walking around as there are patrons. I love the swing/classic jazz music they play. The steaks are great. They come with a special in house steak sauce that is basically the best marinara I have ever had. I highly recommend this place. We got there about 4:45 and left at about 6:45.
Victors Cafe is also right next door and it is pretty good as well - Cuban/Latin food set in a pretty Havana atmosphere. Ask to sit in the back - the room is nicer.
To Will3700, we would strongly DIS-recommend a meal at Russian Samovar. We booked lunch there a year ago to prep us thematically for a matinee of THE GREAT COMET. Great idea, right? Wrong. the meal was inedible, took forever (though the place was empty) and cost a fortune. (Come to think of it, that isn't far off from our lousy time at THE GREAT COMET too.)
Follow any of the other recommendations offered above and you'll be better off.
You will be close to 9th Ave. Google 9th Avenue restaurants and a list will come up. Lots to choose from.

i always go to Gahalage'rs whenever I am in the area. Adore their CHICKEN POT PIE! Plus it has such a wonderful ambiance. Where you sit in a dark booth on the second floor and still get waifs of the lively conversations.
