When I saw "Finding Neverland" and saw the cute dog in the show, I wondered how much the dog gets paid (lol) and if the animal has an understudy. I would assume the animal has an understudy but wanted to know for sure.
im pretty sure they have two dogs who alternate. They both live on a farm, I don't know where though. I bet the trainer gets a gets a decent amount of money.

Yes they have two dogs - and they are both listed in the playbill. Jack and Jill.
No idea about $$.

That is nice the dogs live on a farm, I hope the trainer gets at least the minimum an actor gets paid for performance. I am also very impressed with dogs that can be in shows like this with live audience and not freak out. Give all the credit in the world to these dogs and their trainers.

Bill Berloni is the animal trainer for Finding Neverland (and most other shows with dogs), and he gets paid extremely well.

he frequently uses rescue dogs as well, which is amazing. There was a great story on CBS Sunday Morning a few years ago chronicling his search for the dogs to play Sandy for the Annie revival. So sweet.
Wait, did this reality show about him really happen?? http://variety.com/2015/tv/news/broadway-dogs-series-discovery-family-wags-to-riches-bill-berloni-1201461774/

Correction.
Bill Berloni's focus is on using rescue animals and he so whenever possible. On some occasion, he must source an animal from elsewhere - ie, the lambs for Gypsy, piglets for Alice in Wonderland. If at all possible, Bill Berloni will use a rescue animal, and he and his family take very, very good care of them, as do their trainers and handlers.
I highly recommend getting his book BROADWAY TAILS.
