I just called up The Drama League and spoke with their events person - - he gave me the skinny: you're right Juliet, the awards do start at $150, but get this: you ALSO get an extra added bonus of a Drama League membership for each ticket you purchase.
The reason why this seemed so good to me, is because its normally $85 to join the Drama League. So, with that in mind (they have some free events, discounted ticket offers with orchestra seats, monthly newsletter, blah, blah, blah) $150 doesn't seem so bad.
It sounds like a good deal to me to be in the same room with John Lithgow, Lea DeLaria, Norbert Leo Butz, and like 50 other stars on a Friday afternoon, and all this right before the Tony Awards! Where I'll be sitting in front of my television... Sifting through commericals... Without Tivo. Sigh. :)

louden, always nice to see such enthusiasm from a new convert to ABzism! lol the Tonys are during my exam week (yikes!) but please do give us a long and ridiculously thorough review of the event when you get back!! (and of course, tell us how the Boyz reacted to their wins) i just spent $90 on the Easter Bonnet so i could sit close enough to see their expressions so i'm gonna sit tight in my little apartment for now. :)
hope i'll meet you at one of the Boyz events later!
