Can someone explain what those Passion clips are exactly? I've never heard of the show or watched it. But they are eerily like Wicked.

I love the look Jennifer Garner has, very Idina'y with the pronounced cheekbones, so we know she'd look great in green...and if she sings well too, great.
But what would be the point in doing that? Jennifer Garner is in the same 'too old' category to play Elphaba as Idina.
Age aside and assuming she's a great singer, it would be an excellent career move for her.

I think everyone is forgetting that to star as lead in a film musical nowadays you need not be able to sing a note (i.e., Mamma Mia). The film will be cast with whatever tween stars have international appeal and Morrible will be Merly Streep because she gets EVERY role. If there was a god, Morrible would be played by Chita.

It was a hilarious homage to Wicked they did in a "flashback" sequence to explain the back story of one of the characters who is a witch on the soap. The girl playing the "Glinda" character was in Wicked, and the other is also a Broadway actress. My best friend was obsessed with Passions and showed it to me...and it never gets old.
