"Antonio Banderas — currently promoting his film "Take the Lead" — has boasted that his return to the Broadway stage will be next year in Don Juan DeMarco, a David Leveaux-directed musical version of the namesake film."

Sweet. Hopefully I'll get to see him this time around since I missed him in Nine.

Maybe this time he'll actually win the Tony that he was robbed of last time.

Antonio seems so cocky, anyone else gets that vibe from him?

He was so nice in NINE I saw it twice.
I get the opposite vibe.
He seems sweet and down to Earth.
Can't wait for the rematch of Leveaux/Banderas.

Most Spanish men seem cocky at first. It's a cultural thing.

Not cocky at all. He's a doll. But then there's his wife...

The women who were in NINE absolutely ADORED Antonio - he treated all of them like princesses AND never missed a show. Maybe he seems cocky, but I don't think he's at all that way in person.

Too many people confuse him with Chris Kattan's impersonation of him.

I could actually see this working as a musical.

I wonder if they'll ask Yeston to do it.

Then it will really be a NINE reunion.

I am so pumped to hear this. I always liked Antonio Banderas, but after seeing him in Nine, I was just completely blown away. He was phenomenal, and I am so excited about his return. This is going to be good.

As long as they don't use the movie's theme song, we'll be safe. In the hands of the right writers I think it could be nice.

It's so strange...this is the last thread I read before going to sleep last night, and I actually dreamt about Antonio Banderas. What a good day this is!

I am excited about Antonio returning to Broadway. I enjoyed his performance in Nine quite a lot. However, what ever happened to him starring in the musical Death takes a Holiday? Is that project still in the works or is it dead?

Antonio is exciting news. My only worry is Leveaux.
