Posted: 11/30/04 at 3:05pmI sa the new kevin Spacey movie last night. ( the Bobby Darin story). The movie was way over the top.. but I kept thinking; he would have been a fabulous Billy.

Posted: 11/30/04 at 3:44pmI think they should have a right to mention whether or not you posted in inaccuracy. I am appalled by the idea that the moderators on here are deleting people who DO disagree with you.

Chi Chi;
Re-read the thread. It is over a year old.

Yes. I know it is over a year old. i just do find it interesting to look back at the gossip mill when Melanie was doing Chicago. (Not CJR's. She never gossiped. i just mean in general)
I will bet anything that the producers of Chicago still have one bit of stunt casting left in them. Anyone see Regis Philbin tell Larry King that he has been approached about doing a show next fall?
Regis#83
Posted: 12/7/04 at 10:13pmYes. I almost choked. But it is a good idea. he would do great box office. It wouldn't be something I would go see. But their will be busloads of housewives willing to plunk down their money.

You know what p!sses me off. That the moderators keep deleting all of the threads we are creating on the OFF-TOPIC board...yet this bloody thread, that should have been deleted over a year ago, has been allowed to survive.
Go.
Figure.
Why is this thread still in existence to be able to be revived?
And if it is not deleted, can we stop reviving it?

Posted: 12/8/04 at 3:27amIm not sure I agree with you. This thread is discussing a show. Some of the stuff that has been deleated in the off topic board has been on the blue side and pointless.
Regis#86
Posted: 12/8/04 at 6:36amwell it is the OFF-TOPIC board. And I don;t know what threads you were talking about. The threads that were deleted that I am complaining about were hardly useless. The so called "appreciation threads" were a little appreciation, and a whole lot of bonding went on. The titles were just names. They were just our versions of the random thread, the angst thread, the smoke thread. And initially we didn't even create the threads. The aslongasyou'remine appreciation thread was created by Matt_G and the jmaclover thread was created by Aslongasyou'remine. We simply used them as a place to talk. However when they were deleted, and the subsequent threads were deleted, and only these threads were deleted, it makes me wonder why. Some of the most redundant and inane threads weren't deleted. THESE were. This thread, a thread that contains many past grievances aired by a trouble-stirring idiot and his sock puppet, remains.

Schuyler, I am neither.
I was a fan of the show years ago (still am, to a point) but now most of my friends have been in and out of the company at one point at time.... or numerous times lol
I work for/with Chicago as well - though then this thread started up well over a year ago, I didnt.
Let the thread die already

Wow, I don't understand why people are getting so caught up in these "rumors" or whatever you want to call them. These message boards is in no way official statements from any companies about casting or productions or ANYTHING. This is just Broadway theatre fans getting together and chatting about things. Gossip is bound to come up. To get so riled up about something like this is odd to me. Just let it go.
And CJB, what do you do exactly? How do you have all these inside sources?
Regis#93
Posted: 12/8/04 at 3:47pmYou know; rumors sometimes take full steam by fans that just love the shows and want to talk about them. Just be smart and don't believe anything you read till it happens. And CJR already said she works for the press agent.

CJR, first of all, not CJB....
Second of all, yes I work for the press agent, but I had my sources long before I ever worked there. Actually, I'm probably less informed through the things I hear in my office (which I couldnt devulge for fear of gettng the axe anyway) than I was through hearing things "through my sources."
I grew up in this biz... I know far too many people lol
BTW, what happened to letting this old thread die already?
