Posted: 9/4/06 at 10:44pmAny chance the Evil Dead musical will extend, or is it a special limited run with somthing else booked in that theatre? I get to New York on December 14th and they're only selling tickets up to the 9th. This is gonna be just like March, when I had to leave NY the day before Drowsy Chaperone started previews!!!

(hate to sound like a total myspace teen, which I, sadly, am. But) omg! I left NY the day before Drowsy started previews too. Small world.
I'm considering going up in December too, around Christmas time. I wouldn't be surprised if they did extend, I bet this show is gonna be a big hit. I'm pretty sure it extended when it debuted in Canada.
Maybe they'll make a cast album.
"If artists were machines, then I'm just a different kind of machine...I'd probably be a toaster. Actually, I'd be a toaster oven because they're more versatile. And I like making grilled cheese" -Regina Spektor
"That's, like, twelve shows! ...Or seven." -Crazy SA Fangirl
"They say that just being relaxed is the most important thing [in acting]. I take that to another level, I think kinda like yawning and...like being partially asleep onstage is also good, but whatever." - Sherie Rene Scott

Posted: 9/4/06 at 11:21pmEVIL DEAD is an open-ended run, so if it sells a decent amount of tickets, it will hopefully run through December and into 2007. I know I could certainly use the paychecks. Buy your tickets! [/shill]

Posted: 9/20/06 at 10:14pmAny comments on bringing a 10 year old to this ?? She has seen the movies (and also loves Jason, Freddy, etc. so the gore part does not bother me) but it sounds like some of the songs may be a bit raunchy (though she has heard it all anyway). We are pretty open minded parents and she is a pretty open minded kid so I'll await some of your advice - thanks in advance !!

Ah, yeah, I'd like to know that too, craig238. (... I mean, I'm not bringing kids, I'm bringing my easily-offended boyfriend and I don't want him to look TOO annoyed at any raunchiness.)
I'm not seeing it until November, but I am INCREDIBLY excited.

Posted: 9/21/06 at 12:17amRaunchy? What would give you that idea? There are songs called "What The F*CK Was That?" and "God Damn You Woman", at least 100 profanities in 100 minutes. However, I'd say the sexual content is merely PG-13 - blowjob jokes and some scanty clothing. Plus the blood and gore. Don't know if it's quite appropriate for a 10-year-old...
