I know for sure that Harvey is doing it....

My uncle lives in Las Vegas and works on the shows and he just interviewed for a job to work on Hairspray! If he gets it i'm sure he will know the cast and tell me. I will be sure to let you know.

I would imigian that they would open it with a 'star' like Marissa, but only for a very brief time such as like 6-10 weeks and then bring in the real talent.

The casting that I stated IS fact as far as what I've heard from sources directly involved with the Vegas production. Take that as fact if you wish.

I heard that Kevin Spartas (I don't know how to spell his last name, but he used to be on Days of Our Lives, and is from St. Louis) he is playing Corny I think. A girl I did shows with here in good ole st. louis community theatre world is going to be the standby for Tracy in Vegas. I am so proud of her.

Chandra Lee Schwartz is a great Penny. I saw her in DC. I'll be in Vegas sometime this winter and plan on seeing this production.

There was this guy in a show I saw in my town, and it said that he was going to be the Link in Vegas in the program. Apparently he was also a Gap model. He's really talented, but I thought that was a little bit weird, considering the show was in the spring of last year.
