Here is my podcast with Ricky Ian Gordon - the composer and lyricist of SYCAMORE TREES. I hope you like it. If you saw the show, please leave a comment at DC Theatre Scene after the article.

There is a mostly positive review in today's Washington Post by Peter Marks http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/06/01/AR2010060103683.html.

I saw this last night, and completely agree with KChenowethFan -- the production overall is wonderful. The score is lovely, the story commpelling, and the cast is marvelous, without a weak link in the bunch. If there's any weakness, I'd say it's in the lyrics, which are somewhat forced and trite at times. I think Ricky Ian Gordon the composer merited better than Ricky Ian Gordon the lyracist. But that's a nit -- this show makes for a nice night at the theater.

It's the best show since Glory Days. Oh, um, wait...
