No clue, but I hope so! It's a great score.

I think we can probably expect one since the show is planned for licensing (so there should be some kind of reference recording). I have no idea, though!
Are they aiming for Broadway? Seems odd that they would record it if they are.

I was hoping so, JBroadway, but others on these boards have said they put up the Signature production with the intention of being able to license the property in other future regional productions. I don't think they have set Broadway aims at this time.
They are likely recording it to help foster regional / amateur / school licensing.
Interesting! (Sorry, I haven't been following any of the threads on the show!)
Seems similar to what ended up happening with Hunchback, though previously everyone was sure that one would go to Broadway. I wonder if this will be a trend with new, smaller-scale Disney musicals.
Disney of course already has a huge presence in educational theater and they offer many "JR" version adaptations of their catalog (most aren't actually available to license professionally). It makes sense to me that they would continue to develop material for that audience because its a huge market.
I'm really glad they decided to make a recording of this show. The score has a couple of really great songs and it would be a shame not to have a professional recording of them with Emma and Heidi.
I feel like I'm in the minority on this one because I can't see the show doing well on broadway. I absolutely adored it and would have gone back to see it again if I'd been in the area but it just isn't I guess big enough, for a lack of better way to describe it, to fill a broadway theatre in my opinion. I think it being in such a small theatre is what made everything work so well.
Pre-Order is up on Amazon. Not too crazy about the cover art they chose, but hopefully it's just preliminary.
Don't hate the artwork, it's better than that hideous HUNCHBACK artwork. The colors remind me of of YOUR OWN THING from the 60s.

I've only heard snippets of the score but I'm really excited for this album.
It's amazing how much of this score I distinctly remember after seeing the show like, four months ago. Really catchy, good stuff. Great show.

It's just so good. So happy the album is out so soon!
Less of a wait too! Digital release on Friday!
It was digitally released today. I just finished listening to it. Very good, contemporary pop score. Both Emma and Heidi sound great. My favorites are "Just One Day", "Oh, Biology" & "After All of This and Everything". It's a shame it won't be playing in NYC, I would have loved to see it live.

It's very strong Kitt and Yorkey work. One of the best scores in recent years, IMO

Such a fun quirky cast recording. I absolutely love it and can't stop listening. Would love to see it some day. I hope there would be good little productions of this all over the country.
I would love if this show ended up pulling a Newsies and transferred to Broadway based on sales/reception of the tryouts. I think this would undoubtably sell on Broadway. The Disney brand plus the title would put butts in seats for sure.

Doesn't look like NYC is part of the plan. MTI has this info on their website about licensing of the show:
This title is currently restricted. Expected general release is Summer 2018. Currently available for professional licensing.

They're not moving it to Broadway. That was never the plan and it isn't now.
