re: Any word on a TONYS host?

I hope they get Kristin Chenoweth and/or Neil Patrick Harris.

Neil Patrick Harris is an excellent choice. He did well hosting the TV LAND AWARDS.

If they already have a host, it should be announced tomorrow with the nominations.
"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

re: Any word on a TONYS host?

I'd take either Kristin or NPH. Of course, I'd take NPH any day of the week, but hosting the Tonys wouldn't be so bad either. :)

Oh Lord - NO Kristin! I'll have to watch it with the sound turned off.

NPH and the Tony awards? Now that would be an amazing night.
If people have split views about your work, I think it's flattering. I'd rather have them feel something about it than dismiss it.

re: Any word on a TONYS host?

I vote for Angela!

Would be great to have Hugh Jackman host again. He's got the #1 movie in America right now, and he's a huge star. And, it would be nice to remind people that he started in musical theatre.

re: Any word on a TONYS host?

NPH on one side. DHP on the other side. Julie White in the center. That's an entertaining trio.

re: Any word on a TONYS host?

Remember Julie White and Michael Cerveris' back and forths during the pre-show last year?

If they were Hollywood names, they would be the perfect hosts.

re: Any word on a TONYS host?

Well considering that Hugh Jackman is trying to come back to Broadway, it would not surprise me if he hosted.

Also, I may be the only one, but I didn't mind Whoopi last year.

re: Any word on a TONYS host?

I liked Whoopi better as an Oscar host.

re: Any word on a TONYS host?

That would be obnoxious and pointless.

Ferrel's "George W. Bush" persona isn't even THAT good... honestly.

And Whoopi is okay -- too bland for me.

I love NPH but why him, specifically? He's done nothing big with Broadway recently and he's not a huge name. I don't see that happening.

Will they even have a host this year?
