How it went, who was there, interesting details about set, costumes, orchestrations. Love or hate this show, this 'concept' of casting from reality show, or these two actors - this IS going to be on Broadway in a few months, so am interested in it. And, like all shows that come here, I hope for the best. Maybe it will suck, but could be a great new talent in the chorus or something fun (or fun to make fun of) during the production.
Not wrong, just vaguely silly. They're not going to spill the beans about everything on a message board. I also doubt that any of the information you're looking for would be discernable after one rehearsal.
First -- at first rehearsals, no sets, costumes, wigs, nor orchestra are present. Rehearsals are conducted in a vast empty rehearsal hall and the most the actors hear in regards to music is a piano and drums (to keep the beat). That's it.
The first time they perform with the set (and costumes, wigs, etc.) is at tech rehearsals, and that's done shortly before the first preview AND at the theatre, not in the rehearsal hall. Around this time is when the set is first seen by many if not everyone.
Even at the first press rehearsal viewing, no costumes or sets are used. The most they MIGHT show the press, is a small model set of the set desigin, and that's it.
All will be revealed at the first preview. Until then...things are in consideration, but nothing is set in stone.
Yes, Brody, but at first rehearsals on Broadway the cast is shown all the costume sketches and the scale model of the set. Anyone present at the first rehearsal would have a pretty good idea for the "feel" the production team is going for...
