I don't think it is a mistake, or that it is because of the limited colors. I think it is because it shows that Glinda is not all "good" and possibly jealous. The "green-eyed monster", remember . . . .?

Technically, they wouldn't have to spend more money to make her eye another color - once you're printing on a four color press you can mix the colors to form any other color at no extra cost.

It's obviously done on purpose as part of whatever concept they had for the show's graphics. Maybe the deep underlying theme is Glinda's innate jealousy of Elphaba?

ok maybe this is kind of a bland topic
but why does everyone jump on the mocking bandwagon?
its mean and not true. i'm a wicked fan and I am not one of those ditzy teenage girls you always refer to who are so obsessed with idina. its a good show, it has a valid reason to be on broadway. lets put the wicked bashing to rest.

I think her one eye is green because she's from Mars, her hair is white because she's old, and her hat is pointy because her head is shaped that way.

That's what I think.

And she's whispering to Elaphahabah---"I know what 'douche' means."
