In the new Entertainment Weekly, there's a Mary Poppin's AD in the first few pages. It's not really an ad for "Mary Poppins" but it has a picture of Ashley Brown flying over the audience. It's a great picture, and I didn't realize how gorgeous that theater was. I think it's a Visa advertisement.

I was actually a little annoyed -- I knew she flew in the show, but had no idea it was like that. Now the wonder is gone.
'course, I live in LA, but still. Principle of the thing.

She's Mary Poppins! Of course she flies!
Of course we could use our imaginations in the theatre for once and pretend she flies, but it's Disney. What do you expect?

Posted: 7/28/07 at 1:50amOh, not to sound so arrogant, but it's Mary Poppins. So it should be "Mary Poppins' ad."

Well, it's an ad for Mary Poppins, so I'd be inclined to use "Mary Poppins ad". But if we simply *must* make it possessive, then as there is only one Mary Poppins, it would be "Mary Poppins's ad".
