My grandmother and I are considering going to see Brighton Beach Memoirs and getting the tickets off of TDF. Now, we both have a TDF account, but her account is for seniors that makes sure that they get tickets in the orchestra. Where she fills out an order form and gives them her three choices of dates and it is all done via snail mail. Whereas for me, I have the ability to order online and it is the same general account that all of us who have TDF on this forum have and use.
I was wondering if the seats have been for the most part in the orchestra or not. Normally I wouldn't care if I were going alone. But, considering the fact that my grandmother has trouble with stairs I am trying to figure out if we should buy them on her account to make sure that we are in the orchestra? Or should we buy them on mine for the ability to do it faster.
Like I said before, I am not a seat snob but I am going with someone who can't do stairs. If The Nederlander had an elevator or escalator then it wouldn't be an issue. But, seeing as it doesn't it is.

Just get one ticket each from your own accounts for the same performance. I'm sure your grandmother will appreciate the break.
I was in the side orchestra row K, about 4 seats off the center aisle, on a Monday night. Very good seats- full view.
I was first row of the mezzanine, two seats off the aisle. Besides the awful legroom, the view was pretty great.

Which yields better seats? This or rush?

No idea about rush, but I got TDF tickets to this past Saturday's matinee in Orchestra Row L, seats 5 and 7 (3rd and 4th seats off the aisle). Great seats to a great production!
