ONCE ON THIS ISLAND (2017) Previews
They had the little girl telling the story with her dolls back to the group over the campfire. So before they had her telling it to other children?! Fascinating. But you're right that it was probably a lot of work to facilitate that moment. It was beautiful and meaningful the way I saw it, so I'm guessing they'll keep it that way to avoid future child-wrangling.

What an amazing piece of theater. My family and I love this show, and could not believe how much we were blown away by this production. Incredibly directed, staged, and sung. The director's note was very meaningful; my brother made the point that they could directly partner with organizations doing work in the region or post-storm clean-up, or at least have something more present and explicit in the lobby or something like that more along the lines of the director's note. But thi

The Band's Visit Rush Policy Announced
Arrived about 6:20am. No one else showed up for about an hour, and by 8am there were 4-5 people in line. People came a bit more steadily after that, and when the box office opened I'd say there were about 20-25 people in line. Didn't stick around to see how many actually got tickets, after I got extreme side orchestra row C. As a short person I hope I can see most of the action... really looking forward to the show!

If I want a pair of tickets for tomorrow's matinee (seated separately is fine), how early would you recommend that I get to the box office? Thanks!
Dear Evan Hansen Standing Room
My boyfriend arrived at 11:30pm last night (Thursday) for tonight's show (Friday). He was the first one there, but two others came shortly after. The next person came around 1:30am, the following within the next hour, and by the time I arrived at 6am to keep him company, there were around 12 people in line. They were giving out 11 spots today; someone from the theater came out and went down the line to count around 9am. She let people know where the cut-off was for Standing Room. They als

I also saw this tonight, and agree with those who said that the second act was better than the first...but maybe that was because we switched seats and could see better! We got tickets through TDF, and were very disappointed. We were in L 26 and 28, at the far right side of the house. The tree blocked a third to half of the stage. TDF does not usually give partial view seats unless that is explicitly stated, so we were a bit confused as to why they gave us those. Luckily, we were ab
Rear Mezz Experience in the Barrymore
I sat in the last row of the theater and it was a great view. I could see everything. And it is so worth it to see that show for that price!!

The Public Theatre's Shakespeare/Park presents INTO THE WOODS -- Discussion
I did think that once Rapunzel died, the twins died with her (although that doesnt make lots of sense), but I also like in a morbid and perverse way the idea that she had been pushing around dead babies for a while. Shows how unstable and out of it she had become. She blames the Witch for making her perpetually messed up and unhappy, which, in turn, has destroyed her ability to be a fit mother and provide "grandchi
The Public Theatre's Shakespeare/Park presents INTO THE WOODS -- Discussion
I noticed that when the Witch picks up one of Rapunzel's babies towards the end after Rapunzel dies, the baby seems to fall and turn to dust. Does anyone know what the deal is with that? Are both babies dust? (Also, whatever happens to Rapunzel's prince, is he ever accounted for?)
