#1Anyone going to see 'High Fedality'?
Posted: 11/25/06 at 12:57pmJust heard the commercial on the radio for this play. I only wonder why this guy is trying to win back his girlfriend's love? My guess, the usual, a guy cheats, and says it's doesn't mean anything. Which is the case with most(not all) men.

1) It's called High Fidelity.
2) It's a musical, not a play.
3) It's based on the movie of the same name, so if you really want to know about the plot, go rent it.

Posted: 11/25/06 at 10:41pmYou get to see Will Chase in his boxers. Is that enough to satisfy you?

Posted: 11/25/06 at 10:43pmLolly, Will Chase slaps his weens in a few numbers, iirc.

Posted: 11/25/06 at 11:56pmYES! any ween slapping is good with me. whats the policy at broadway theaters about sex with the actors? like, say I like an actors ween a lot. is it considered a no-no to, in the middle of their song, get onstage and give them my number on a napkin along with "i like your ween, wanna do it with me?" or do I have to do the whole follow them to a secluded area and tie them up and do it with them against their will bit? and what about the gays? would they be offended at my lack of a ween? im new to this whole dominatrix thing and i want it WHEN i want it.

Posted: 11/26/06 at 12:55amIs there going to be a recording? Because I hear the music is great, but if nobody sees it, then they might not record it... unless they already have. Anybody got any news about a recording?
#11re: Anyone going to see 'High Fidelity'?
Posted: 11/26/06 at 1:12amThere probably won't be a recording, because it will probably have a very short run.

It's actually changed a lot since their out of town try out and I actually really enjoyed it the other night when i saw it. Will Chase is terrific and Jenn Colella also raises the roof quite a bit.
The supporting cast, specifically Christian Anderson and Jeb Brown have some pretty wonderful scene-stealing moments as well.
Overall, there's a little cleaning up that needs to be done, but they tell the story really effectively...and isn't that why they're there?

Posted: 11/26/06 at 11:55amThey were taking pre-orders for the CD at the show on Fri. The guy working there said it's coming out in January and they're recording it soon. However, if they're gonna close and it isn't recorded yet, they can easily not record it...

Lyricist Amanda Green told me that the cast is going into the studio soon, for a mid-January album release. They've got the album backed.
DRSisLove - I've read your other posts about HF. Don't judge until you've seen the show.

Posted: 11/26/06 at 5:12pmI'm seeing it December 9th. I have the demo with Norbert Leo Butz and Sherie Rene Scott and love the music from that. So we shall see...

i sure hope that the recording goes thru! even if it is recorded, it does not mean it will be released
i probably will not be able to see this with my already packed schedule in December, so i sure hope for a recording!

I have tickets for Wednesday night! I really liked the preview they had at the Nederlander, but that was like a brief reading.
Looking forward to it.

Posted: 11/26/06 at 6:25pmi just listened to the radio commercial (or some type of ad) on the HF site (which is kind of confusing because the web address isnt even highfidelitythemusical.com or anything, its topfivebreakups.com...yeah) and it sounded pretty good...but why do they say "there's a 92% you will love HIGH FIDELITY?" youd think they would at least be cheesy, and say 100%...
