Before creating this thread, I went to check the listings for rush/SRO etc on talkinbroadway.com. There was a message on the top of the listings page that said that for the moment, they aren't offering information regarding any sort of rush/lottos/SRO etc. So, I thought that I would ask my question here.
Does anyone have any information about South Pacific's student rush. I had heard that they were starting to do one but that is about all I know. I am asking the basic questions. What time does it start or what time do you need to line up by, is it cash only etc etc. Anyone have any information?

The only thing I know is that they only do it on Tuesday, Wednesdays and Thursdays,2 hours before curtain with 1 per id, and it is $20.
Is it cash only or can I pay with credit card?
Cash only.
Has anyone gone recently? What has the turn out been like?
Are people lining up prior to the 2-hour release time?
I very much want to see the show before Kelli departs :)
im guessing since its 1 ticket per ID this means they are for students only?
sheesh - i'll never get to see that show.

I did it last week (with my old student ID...heh). We got there around 5:30 and there were 3 other people in line...but they had only gotten there a few minutes before. No one else lined up behind us. My friend and I got orchestra seats in the 5th row on the right side of the house. Great seats!
Oh, and there were quite a few empty seats, so I assume that if you came closer to curtain time you would have still been able to snag one. The last row of the orchestra on the side sections had lots of vacancies, as did entire side sections up in the mezz.

By "with my old student ID" do you mean that they didn't look very close?

My student ID actually doesn't have a date on it, but it is from California. The lady didn't seem too concerned with geography or any of it.
Thanks!

My StudenTix expired 31Dec08 and they said I'm no longer eligible, but my school e-mail is still active. Anyone know how they determine eligibility?
