I can not afford to spend 20 bucks on it right now. I will probably ask for the DVD for Christmas if it's out by then.

Where is it playing...only in NY? I'm not in NY.
Btw, I was surprised, just days after the closing, not to see any threads about the final performance weekend on here. Is there a link to some of the discussions that may have occurred here? I saw it in June but could not get back for the big finale this month.
Thanks!
It's playing all around the country, not just NY.
A friend of mine was at a screening they had last night and said he thought it was going to be ok, but that it's actually really powerful. They used multiple cameras and got some very tight shots so you see a lot of the performers up close in a way that you never would from seeing it at the theater.
I haven't seen Rent in forever, but I'm probably gonna see this after hearing him go off on how good it was.
I'm going to check it out tomorrow night even though I was at the final performance.
It isn't $20.00 for me. I paid the standard $7.00 ticket fee here in the DFW area.
I think you'll be seeing the movie, Patronus.
Does it count as "seeing it" if the rivers of tears streaming down my face impair my vision since I'll know it's the last time that I'll ever see ReNt at the Movie Tavern in Texas? Updated On: 9/23/08 at 12:55 PM
I am seeing it tomorrow evening here in Denver. A friend and I are making an evening of it. A bite to eat, cocktails and the screening at 7:00.
Don't drink too much. It's long!
A friend of mine saw it at an early screening. She got herself thinking that she could go use the bathroom at intermission and she was upset when she realized that there was no intermission. She said that she thought that no one should have to sit that long without being able to stand up for a bit.
She must not have seen Titanic at the theater.
I am going to pee during Santa Fe or Seasons of Love.
I'm seeing it on Sunday, even though I was at the last show. I'm really curious how much of the footage will be from the actual last show, and how much of it will be from the taping they did in August. I have a feeling it much more, if not almost all, will be from August, but I have no clue how I'd actually be able to tell...
One of my friends heard from somewhere that they filmed intermission, just left a camera pointed at the stage or something, and that they were actually going to put it in the movie to give people the chance to go to the bathroom... apprently not. It sounded too strange anyway.

They should have followed patrons into the bathroom, peeing, for a revolutionary version of Intermission. I mean it's RENT after all.... the biggest groundbreaking musical in history.
OMG! I totally peed in between Jai Rodriguez and Matt Caplan when I was at closing. It was a urinary fantasy come true!
You like Golden Showers.
It's playing in Imax in San Francisco.
No...I don't take showers...I'm a TRUE Rent fan so I live my life as if I were homeless.
An intermission would be nice. I am planning on about 3 cocktails before the show. I am wondering what extra footage/special features are included.
