Unfortunately, I was unable to see "Is He Dead?" on Saturday because it was the first day of the strike. What bad timing! I hope this does not close this show, as it might not have enough money behind it yet to stay open...

A question to those who have seen "Is He Dead?" and were seated in the front orchestra: what exactly is the first row in this house? In the same ticketing session, Telecharge offered up tickets in Row AA and indicated this was the first row by the stage; then a few searches later, tickets in Row B were offered, and once again they were labeled as first row by the stage (both seats were orch. center).
In any event, I recall when seeing "Steel Magnolias" that the front row was much too close, as the stage was pretty high. Is that still the case?
Thanks!

You can find seating charts for every Broadway theatre at www.nytheatre.com, Row AA is labeled as the front row in the orchestra. I don't think the stage is too high to be front row, but I am not sure. I sat in the 8th row and loved it.

The technical elements are spectacular.
Sets - Magnificent
Costumes - Gorgeous
Lights - Well Done
A little known fact I overheard, most of the painitngs in the play are actual reproductions of paintings from the real life artist Norbert is portraying.

Thanks; I'd checked those seating charts too. Problem is, there are several other charts floating around, so I'm hesitant to go by any of them! (which is why I was checking in to get the opinions of "those who were there!")
I went on the first night of previews and bought tix for row A thinking it was front row, but there WAS a row AA in front of us. If you are not that tall then don't buy tix for row AA.
