Posted: 11/9/07 at 7:49amI was wondering if anyone has seen the first preview of "Is He Dead?" I have tickets for this Saturday and would love to see someone's review of it.

I had a great time last night. It is an old fashioned farce, and it is very funny.
You would never know it was the first preview. The cast is excellent.

Posted: 11/9/07 at 8:37amThank you, Cat2! I'm so glad you enjoyed it. I am wary because I have not seen a good play since I saw "Tru" with Robert Morse several years ago...but I love Norbert Leo Butz so I was hoping that this would be the play to break my streak of bad ones.

Posted: 11/9/07 at 11:02amI was there last night and it was great. Norbert and the rest of the cast are awesome. The closer to the front you are, the better. I was in the second row and you felt like you were really a part of it.

Posted: 11/9/07 at 11:27amI saw the performance last evening and it is very funny. Norbert, David Pittu, MaryLouise Burke and the villian whose name escapes me are excellent. I really enjoyed the chance to just sit back and laugh at a new play.

Posted: 11/9/07 at 3:56pmI WAS excited to see this from the front row tomorrow...but now with the strike possibly happening...who knows if I'll get to see Norbert! I can't wait to read the reviews though...

Posted: 11/9/07 at 9:04pmI was at the first preview also, and was lucky enough to sit in the 4th row. I thought that the show was very funny and the entire cast did an outstanding job. I was laughing out loud through most of the show, which does not happen very often for me. Norbert is hilarious, and I think that I could say the same for everyone in the cast. It was also a treat to see some of my favorite broadway musical actors and actresses in a non musical production. Is He Dead is lively, funny and fast paced.

How is Jenn Gambatese in the show?
I love her!
#17re: Anyone see 'Is He Dead' last night?
Posted: 11/9/07 at 9:24pmJenn is wonderful. She does such a fine job playing the beautiful, innocent and unsuspecting girlfriend. She plays her part perfectly and is the perfect foil to the hilarity that is going on all around her. Her reactions to the events on stage are both charming and hysterical.
