I'm wondering if anyone has seen Jackie Mason's latest show, and if so...reviews?
Thanks!

Posted: 8/11/05 at 11:10pmBut he named it Freshly Squeezed b/c they're all new jokes, no? And they hand out-that's right-freshly squeezed orange juice to prove it, don't they? I saw Laughing Room Only and enjoyed his schtick but not the musical skits/crap. Been meaning to see my favorite elderly Jewish funnyman in his new show but haven't yet. Oy!

But it costs practically nothing to put it on.
I'd never seen Jackie Mason, so I gave it a try. I was kinda bored. Maybe a light chuckle or two during the night, but never a laugh.
At one point during the show, a woman shouted out "Your singing is better than your jokes." He called her a "****ing yenta."

The show is playing at the Helen Hayes Theatre (formerly The Little Theatre), which only has a seating capacity of 499.
It closes September 4.

Posted: 8/12/05 at 12:49amIt's been running in like, the forties in terms of weekly average of percent of seats filled. Kinda like his last show, and the one before that...why, or rather, HOW does this guy keep on coming to Broadway?

I bet this is the only show where no one ever pays full price. It automatically goes on TKTS & TDF after opening night
It is out on DVD ( not bootleg ) but professionally recorded. Available @ Footlight. I got it for $ 20 & it was amusing. I saw the show for basically $ 10 a piece ( the price of a movie )
