Posted: 5/16/10 at 12:15pmIm coming end of August to New York. Does anyone know of any new musicals (on or off broadway) that could possibly be open by the end of August?? Im particularly interested of any Off-Broadway musicals.

It is unlikely. Usually new stuff opens in the fall or late spring. The more things fail in the fall the less that will happen as well.
There are several theater festivals that happen in the summer: Fringe/Public's SPF but they are usually over by late August.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
