its suppose to be about the show? How they go into these tasks and someone gets fired? How do you make a Broadway show out of that?

sounds ridiculous (of course Spamalot sounded ridiculous, as did Urinetown, and I loved BOTH of them)

so, I'm trying to keep an open mind

*shakes head at Donald Trump*
what a stupid idea

"No two shows are alike in the making. Each show is a living piece of your life in a small unreal world with its own character and integrity; its own new set of memorable experiences and incredible happenings. You begin to love and adapt to its strangeness. Dreams harden into substance. Values come into focus. You wish it would never end. The dream world vanishes like mist before a rising sun; part of you vanishes with it. And back you land in the real world with a thud- fogged, uneasy, jittery, difficult to get along with. There is only one cure. A new show. A new, small unreal world; new visions, experiences, incredible happenings. Again you love it, adapt to it, wish it would never end. But end it does. Another part of you vanishes. That's show business."-Anonymous

It will be as good as the creative team makes it.

I'll give it a chance! Apparently there is some love story or some crap involved. If it's campy enough it could be fun.

As I once said, it will go something like this:

The Opening Number: Trump's Rules

Trump:
We'll start the game with 16 folks
All wanting to be way less than broke
So with each song, a new one will expire
And tell them, pack your bags- "You're Fired"

The Weisslers are such craven whores.

Atleast it's original, kind of, coming from the broadway angle.

I'd definitely go watch it if it was a musical comedy but I think they will try to ponce it up and make it quite serious.

I think it could go either way...Im gonna wait to hear more about it. I think it could be funny if they do it really "sarcastically"

I thought Spelling Bee sounded like a dumb idea but it turned out brilliant!

You know what? I think it could work! As silly and stupid as it seems, they really could pull it off. As long as it's not exactly like the show. You know, stick a love story in there, some scandal, wrap it up with some relatively catchy music with witty lyrics and you juuuuust might have something. Unless they put everything exactly where it needs to be, it will just be a flop, but I say don't give up on it just yet. Broadway is unpredictable!
