Are all Broadway actors from all the shows invited to attend the Tony's or do they also have to buy tickets?

I'm pretty sure they are invited...if you're talking about the shows nominated.
But (for example) Butley only got one Tony nod for Dana Ivey...so the rest of the cast wasn't invited...

Only nominees are invited, I think.
Oh,I see. I was just wondering because there are alot of shows, and if every cast went there wold not be enough seats.

Well not EVERY show is invited.

Only nominees are given tickets. Many times the producers of the shows will buy their cast tickets to the awards. This does not happen as much anymore.
I would assume not, because the one of the Coast of Utopia nominees made a comment about how the rest of the cast was sitting in a bar somewhere in midtown Manhattan, watching the red carpet coverage as they spoke...
I'm fairly certain that someone last week said that most of the actors do NOT go because the tickets are not comped and are fairly expensive. I would assume that nominees, presenters, and some others are given free tickets, but most of the people sitting in the orchestra have tickets that cost money (often but not always paid for by the producer of their show). I think that someone mentioned that even ensemble members performing during the show do not get free seats, and they often come, do their number, and leave. Obviously, a lot of shows have a big contingent (it looked like the entire casts of Journey's End and Spring Awakening were on the podium, and I saw what looked like the whole cast of Company in the last rows of the orchestra), but I would assume that someone paid for those tickets.
ETA: Sorry to repeat some of what was said earlier -- the earlier remarks were posted while I was typing my post up.
Contrary to popular belief, the Antoinette Perry "Tony" Awards do NOT belong to a man named Tony. Updated On: 6/14/07 at 07:09 PM
I was in the orchestra and I'll tell you there were lots of people who paid to be there. (I was one of them!)And the whole casts of both Company and SA were there. I sat with the COU and Coram Boy contingent, which was interesting.
I think the whole cast of Radio Golf was there, too.

All shows are given a sign-up sheet for tickets. I think they're still $50. They were for a while at least. I've never gone because when I was growing up you didn't have a chance of going unless your show was nominated, so I plan to wait until it means something to me, instead of just going to be a spectator. But I hear it's lots of fun, and a lot of the best stuff happens during the commercial breaks.
So why aren't they the Toni Awards if they are named after Antoinette. Maybe, the perm people got into a frizzy tizzy over that and wouldnt let that happen.
