I like this idea. She seems young, because she just graduated college, Belle needs to be played my someone thats youthful and with a little pizazz. If they don't have spunk to them, the role is tooooooo Disney and everyone over the age of 5 is bored.

Yeah for Ashley Brown. I have played Belle myself and love putting on that blue dress.

She looks very sweet and I am excited to see Brooke Tansley leave cause she is too damn old for Belle.

At 26, Brooke Tansley is not too old to play Belle. You do know that Andrea McArdle played the role not too long ago...?

i saw brooke tansley last night...and i wasn't impressed.

i was bored with her performance. nothing about it was special to me. it's time for a new belle.

Brooke LOOKS way too old for the role. She is unimpressive and does not possess the spirit and youth that embodies Belle.

I know exactly what Disney (NOT DIsney Broadway) looks for when casting the best Belles and Disney on Broadway often falls short and casts inappropriate people to play this Disney princess.

She was worth the price of admission for Disney's On the Record. I saw the last performance of it the other week and she was excellent!

Ashley Brown was excellent in Disney's "On The Record". She has a beautiful, pure soaring voice. She should be perfect for the role of Belle.

she does come off as not the belle "type" to me too

I wouldn't use broadway.com pictures to judge
85% of their photos do anything BUT flatter the subjects

RELAX...

I have the right to my own opinion and I, personally, feel that Tansley DOES look too old. OK? She is extremely talented but I never thought she was the right match for Belle.

Agree to disagree.

Brown looks more the Belle type and I, PERSONALLY, feel she will portray Belle better.

She is sweet, gorgeous and has a soaring voice. She is what I want to see when meeting my favorite Disney Princess.

PS..Andrea McArdle wasn't a very good Belle and, she too, looked too old.
