Even if it does...it won't have Neil in it.

it was great but.. I seriously doubt it, especially since it just closed - we're talkin' years in the future & by then there may even be (gulp
) new assassins..

Posted: 7/26/04 at 8:19pmIt's a shame that ASSASSINS has closed, but it was never intended to be an open ended run, so we're lucky it got extended until it did. I do think they should have followed through and played till the October extention, though.

Posted: 7/26/04 at 8:21pmI think they should have let it play the whole time as well. I think it will eventually be revived, in the far far future.

Posted: 7/26/04 at 8:27pmhad it ran through October it would have played, almost, another hundred performances...

Posted: 7/27/04 at 12:47amI think what it will mean is a surge in the amount of regional productions. Since it was able to succeed (somewhat) on broadway - it DID win the Tony after all - it will be an easier sell to the more conservative regional markets out there...I hope so, anyways - what a brilliant show.

Posted: 7/27/04 at 9:37amSondheim indicated in a recent interview that there will likely be a road production, though I can't imagine this show playing well in Murfreesboro.
