Hi im kinda new here and I came across this article. The voters got together this morning and decided upon a bunch of other things too (Fiddler, Caroline etc.) Also, all the actors in Assassins will be in the Featured Actor/Actress category.

perfect.
But now Little Shop wont be nominated unless they forget about Big River which they shouldnt since it was breath taking.

Wow, to think just two years ago there were only two eligible shows for revival (Into The Woods and Oklahoma!). Now we have a least five.
OK, so let's take a poll. Which of these five WON'T be nominated?
Big River
Little Shop of Horrors
Fiddler on the Roof
Wonderful Town
Assassins

I have seen four of the five (and seeing the fifth, Assassins, on Sunday).. my pick would be Fiddler on the Roof to be left OUT.
That wont happen.
I have a feeling it will be Little Shop, only because Big River was so special.
And if Little Shop isnt nominated, it means no t.v. time, and probably will post a closing notice ![]()

I sadly have to agree. I've seen them all and FIDDLER was just not that great. I'm hoping that the nostalgia factor comes into play for LITTLE SHOP when people vote.

No way they're leaving out Wonderful Town- it's a fine revival and Donna Murphy has a good chance at her own Tony. If they catch a case of selective amnesia they might leave out Big River, but really, I think that Little Shop will be the one that ends up out in the cold. Its reviews were so-so and it isn't as much of a beloved Broadway classic as Fiddler on the Roof.
But still...I would have loved to see Assassins compete in the Best Musical category, if only to have something that can confront the annoying Wicked juggernaut and win. No offense to Avenue Q, which is a fine show, but unless the Tony voters suddenly decide that material wealth is overrated, it doesn't have a very good chance. Bleh.
