I am really very excited about this concept recording, I think it sounds fabulous! I am curious though as to why Frank wasn't able to go with this musical "concept" in the show? I think it would have done so much better as it sounds on this recording. The musical when it opened seemed to make Wildhorn sound like something he's not, but then I remembered that the orchestrations were by Doug Besterman. After hearing the clips of this concept recording, it makes me wish that Wildhorn would've stayed with what he is so known for, his fabulous pop/rock mix of Broadway...That is him...AND ISN'T IT FABULOUS! I will definitely be purchasing this cd, and will probably have it in my cd player all of the time, lol...I think Frank Wildhorn is a great composer for the contemporary, more modern, theatre world!
To Jeremy Roberts:
I think the orchestrations are what truely make a show come alive and give it the feeling that was intended. I think that they sound awesome, and you and Frank Wildhorn as a team compliment each other so well. I think Frank can now say that his original vision for Dracula has been done the justice it deserves...His works deserves that bit of raw feeling that your orchestrations provide, from what I can hear, so I applaud you!
**EXCITED**
