Ich spreche Deutsch! Ihr solltet Deutsch sprechen, weil ich Deutsch mehr als Spanisch verstehe.

I don't speak in German or French much anymore because of past experiences in America!

Exactly, which is why he can get away with that.

re: Audition Ethics

musically, it sounds better the other way - and you can say that grammatically.

re: Audition Ethics

It really does sound better when it's grammatically incorrect, because it'd be weird having that pause in "Deutsche". It's better to have "Gehört...das Deutsche" then "Das Deu...tsche Band". I don't make any sense, do I?

re: Audition Ethics

Now I get it.

But Syntax isnt that important

re: Audition Ethics

Syntax is everything! Everything!

re: Audition Ethics

In GERMAN?

Not really. Well, at least how my Dad taught me - I've never learned it in school.

In English and Spanish and French it is.

re: Audition Ethics

Syntax is important in any language. I've been learning German in school for five years. Syntax really is everything...unless you want to speak gibberish/sound like Yoda.

re: Audition Ethics

syntax is not improtant in every language. In Russian - there really isnt a set way to write sentences. That's why in German, and in Russian, nouns decline.

re: Audition Ethics

I don't really get what you mean. As far as I know, in German, nouns decline to pluralize, genderize, and a few other -izes I don't remember too well. It still matters where in the sentence you use it, though.

re: Audition Ethics

Der Hund beißt den Mann.
Den Mann beißt der Hund.

That's how i learned it.

N/m it's not really syntax - I confused myself with something else.

re: Audition Ethics

¿Está usted una "Pink Lady", lil'elphie?

I see what you mean, jma. Verbs in German are silly like that - beißt can be so many different things, and there's the unspoken "by" between beißt and der...I could go on and on, but I won't, because I've spoken way too much German for one night.

re: Audition Ethics

ok....

LOL

That was the first time I did anything in German in a long time.

and it's es, not esta, lol

re: Audition Ethics

I'm using Babelfish for my Spanish, since I have absolutely no idea how to speak it. ...Which is why we should all speak in German. Or English, even.

re: Audition Ethics

Wellm stay with English. I got through English class with Babelfish lol.

re: Audition Ethics

jajaja i love how this conversation just shifted ENTIRELY off tangent...

me=mexican

i took a few lessons in french, however i am proud to say that i can get by in France with a combination of babbling and "aides moi, je suis perdieux!" + puppydog eyes jjejej (someone help me translate it into german, in case i ever go to germany!!)

as for the wierd non-singing glinda thing, yea, its messed up, since its a high school production, and a bad, practically talentless one at that (they train engineers, not artists), they're changing the whole thing, probably adding some the wiz songs, and (if i have anything to do with it) some wicked songs. i figure u can add parts of no one mourns the wicked (only it'd be for the wicked witch of the east, or maybe the west, once she's dead), wonderful, and one short day....dunno how to add any of the others, altho kudos to whoever can add an elphaba song in there without completely destroying the storyline jejeje

my motto is, if someone is going to mutilate a show, let them mutilate it BIG TIME

but yea, im thinking twice about staying in the show...

....hey, i wanna add a pic to my profile, how do i do that?????

Tenme por lo que soy, por lo que puedo ser, y si te importo hoy, tenme nena, o vete!
